Ms. Rodriguez holds a PhD in sociology from Northwestern University in the United States and a master’s degree in sociology from the same university. She graduated in Law and Economy from the Los Andes University in Bogota, Colombia.

She has vast experience as a human rights defender and researcher. As Deputy Director and Researcher at the Center for Law, Justice and Society Studies (Dejusticia) she worked on issues such as citizen participation, forced displacement, access to health and environmental policy. She has been professor at Los Andes University and a visiting professor at Lanus University (Argentina).

Her publications include: Radical Deprivation on Trial: The Impact of Judicial Activism on Socioeconomic Rights in the Global South (2015); Internal Wars, Taxation, and State-Building (2016) and Environmental Peace: challenges and proposals for the post-agreement (2017).

She was the founder of the campaign “Raising Peace”, which helped pregnant and lactating ex-combatants on their journey to peace.
