Josée is NewCities General Manager and Head of Advancement. She leads NewCities Montréal team and efforts to build memberships and partnerships with companies and organizations that share our mission to make cities better places to live. Her efforts span various industries, the public sector, academia, startups and the innovation and non-profit communities.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Josée had a 20 year career as a partner for the global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright and litigator, specializing in civil and professional liability. She represented major Canadian and international clients in the fields of engineering, architecture, construction law, healthcare and accounting. She taught construction law in the Master’s program at Université de Montréal and was a guest professor at Quebec Bar School for several years.
Josée is an active member of her community and a board member of several institutions most notably at St-Mary’s Hospital Foundation, Goodness TV and Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal.
Josée has a keen interest in urban living, best demonstrated by her best selling travel guide, Humeurs de Paris (Les Éditions Druide, 2014), a book designed to help readers discover non-traditional ways to enjoy the City of Light. She is also passionate about art, innovation and urban living.
Josée holds a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Université de Sherbrooke. She is a member of the Québec Bar Association. Josée resides in Montréal.
