As Partnerships and Project Manager, Omer works to foster strong collaborations with current members, build new partnerships that advance NewCities’ initiatives, and carry out member-focused projects. He brings expertise in accessibility and sustainability to the team with experience designing and facilitating workshops, planning events, and managing social impact research and communications projects.  

Prior to joining the team in 2022, Omer founded a civic engagement enterprise focused on accessibility of Metro systems in Canada. He is part of the Urban AI Emerging Leaders program, and has served as an Ocean Wise Ambassador since 2021. He has designed and managed various social impact and sustainability programs at McGill University as well as community organizations in Montreal. Omer completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology at McGill University.
