Regina Abuyuan was a Manila-based writer, editor, and development communications consultant.
She was a seasoned magazine and book editor, having helmed as chief editor of five glossies and three best-selling books, including the award-winning book Agam: Filipino Narratives on Uncertainty and Climate Change (Best Anthology in the English Language and Finalist in Design in the 34th National Book Awards, Philippines; and Literature in English and Special Award for Design in the 2016 Gintong Aklat (Golden Book) Awards). She also won a Gold Anvil (Publications Category, 52nd Anvil Awards, 2017) for “Bayuhay: The Story of Millennium Challenge Account-Philippines”, produced with a team from Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST Asia).
Her communications, editorial, and writing inclinations are wide, covering women’s interests, business, climate, maritime, parenting, fiction, and copyediting for advertising agencies. She has also consulted for groups such as Oxfam GB, ASSIST Asia, and Institute for Autonomy and Governance.
She was an advocate of non-traditional learning and owned Blended Learning Center-Manila, a center that provides homeschooling support and enrichment programs for progressively-schooled children and the gifted and talented.
